STEAM Discovery Center
Starting September 24th, the STEAM Discovery Center, presented by Ting, will open in Encinitas! Each day consists of a 1 hour teacher led course for students Grades K-3 and 4-8, then 2 hours of Open Makers Space, where students can learn to innovate and explore their passions independently.
Courses / Workshops
Interactive, hands-on STEM courses for grades K-8. Covering NGSS topics and beyond. Kids will gain a deeper understanding of how the world works with Physical and Life Science topics such as electricity, magnetism, DNA, and digestions. With Coding and Robotics, kids will learn and prepare for future technology.
Assemblies / Demo Lab Stations
We do more than TEACHING. We are here to INSPIRE students to reach their full potential by showing them the amazing possibilities of a STEM education! We offer 30-minute and 60-minute science shows to WOW and teach students of the power of Science and its mysteries, so that they too can continue their own scientific journeys.
At-Home Education
Have some fun and educational family time with these amazing at home labs with supplies you can find around your house. Free at-home lessons and labs from LabRats, San Diego Botanic Garden, Studio Ace Art, and much More!
SDLabRats is a non-profit 501c3 corp. Our goal is to offer our program to underprivileged youth throughout San Diego county, which is only made possible through our community’s support.
